Each character had a color theme assigned to them which developed the audiences’ attribute of that particular character. A minor character, Maurice wore white for a majority of his scenes which conveyed that he was innocence of the main plot. One of the antagonist Julian, wore browns and greens, which secured this character as unscrupulous and as a jealous person. The investigator Loren Visser’s suit was yellow-green, it produced a feeling of an agitated state of mind towards that character, and which amplify this character’s deeds and words. Ray and Abby’s costumes were a blue tint color.
In World War One, there we many new developments that affected the way the war was fought. At this time there was many different advantages being developed such as new weapons during the war. The arms race between Germany and Great Britain eventually led to World War One. This led to two of the most important advancements in World War One: the machine gun and U-Boats. The use of the machine gun and the U- Boat changed the way World War One was fought.
The colors create a situation that allows the reader to interpret the true meaning of the scene. This allows for the reader to achieve a better understanding of what the colors are describing. When Fitzgerald describes an object with a color, the description is able to go much deeper than a simple adjective. Along with the the literal denotation of the color, the description provides countless connotations that connect to the situation. Fitzgerald's purpose for using colors is shown when he says, “An hour later the front door opened nervously, and Gatsby in a white flannel suit, silver shirt and gold-colored tie hurried in.”
Theme: Love may hurt (you)/ Love is a game, if you aren’t careful you’ll get hurt./you have to learn to play before you get hurt. Romeo and Juliet fall in love, initially Romeo was hurt and that’s why he met Juliet. Upon meeting her, they instantly fall in love. Knowing it could never work between them due to their family feud, they still fought for their love. As hard as they tried in the end they both died.

My so called "lens" is author's craft. One thing you may notice about my descriptions is they will often contain theme and character development, because, how I view author's craft is how the author sets up the themes and character developments through elements of literature. So, I have to first analyze the metaphors, similes, etc., then describe how those pertain to the theme and characters and finally then relate that to author's craft. William Shakespeare's character Friar Lawrence adds so much to the story, he understands what is happening between Romeo and Juliet, and he tries to help by giving them what they want. He understands just how deep it goes between them and how crazy they are for each other, and just in general.
