Throughout history disobedience has led to great progress and prosperity. Disobedience has led to some of history's greatest social movements. Throughout history, many people have risen and rebelled to create great social progress. I honestly think that disobedience is man's original virtue. Disobedience has brought about change and revolution and can be brought up by anyone, regardless of color and gender.
In the story “Civil Disobidience” it kinda relates to protest and his opinion on it. Well this text relates to me be because of the protest in the world today. Like there was one here lately,that was very active. There was one where these football players refused to say the national anthem,and when they did,trump got kinda angry and said some things. Well In my opinion i think that trump has a right to say whatever he pleases,now yes he has to watch who and what he says it to,but,he is the president of this country and they need to respect him.
Rebellions can drive people out and can lead to many other people dying for not cause at all and to be shown with no improvement in our social progress as a whole. In conclusion, Oscar argues that disobedience is a valuable human trait and that it promotes social progress and also how rebellion and disobedience can lead to positive changes in the economical and social viewpoint. It can help learn from history and help us expand our way of mind and people can learn a few new things from it also. Throughout Thoreau’s “Civil Disobedience,” it is evident that his stance on wealth is firm. He believes that “the rich man…is always sold to the institution which makes him rich” (Thoreau 9). The rich are said to be the ones less likely to practice civil disobedience because they have conformed to the government, prospering under it. On the other hand, Thoreau is not entirely hateful towards the wealthy. He explains that “the best thing a man can do for his culture when he is rich is to endeavor to carry out those schemes which he entertained when he was poor” (Thoreau 10).
Disobedience is an essential characteristic in this world because without it, no social progress is made. Disobedience can be viewed in a very complex manner because it is in some cases, an unhonorable and disgraceful characteristic, however, Wilde describes disobedience as an honorable attribute for someone to have when social progress is made.. Disobedience should not only be compelled, it should be mandatory. Fighting For Justice Laws are put into effect by the government in order to keep people safe and look out for their well-being. However, laws can sometimes be unfair or unjust in regards to other people. If I think that a certain law is completely unjust, I would be willing to break that law and suffer whatever punishment comes along with that action. Discrimination can come in many different ways, shapes, and forms.
