Judge Dee: The Mother and Father of Chang Ping Judge Dee was referred to as the "mother and father" of the district of Chang Ping. Judge Dee was the district magistrate. He was faced with many cases, some which thought to be left unsolved. Judge Dee used different philosophies to help solve the cases that he faced. He used Confucianism by being truthful, Legalism by being equal, and Daoism by using intuition.
David Feige’s Indefensible: One Lawyer’s Journey nto the Inferno of American Justice invites people from all walks of life to a second hand experience of the criminal justice system hard at work. What is most interesting about Feige’s work is its distinct presentation of the life of a public defender in the South Bronx. Instead of simply detailing out his experiences as a public defender, Feige takes it a step further and includes the experiences of his clients. Without the personal relationships that he carefully constructs with each of his defendants, Feige would not be able to argue that the criminal justice system is flimsy at best, decisions always riding on either the judge’s personal attitudes or the clients propensity towards plea bargaining.

Street level bureaucrats are police officers, teachers, social workers and others who interact with citizens. According to the video, street level bureaucrats are important to the citizens because whatever they get from the government is what the street level bureaucrats do for them. Their jobs are so complex because what they learn from in school or in training is different from what they would have to do when they are actually doing their job. They would have to take what they learned and apply it to the particular situation quickly without a lot of knowledge. Police officers are considered street level bureaucrats because they make the decisions that produce actual police policy as it affects citizens (pg. 352).

The thing I want to do when I complete college is to be a parole officer. A parole officer job supervise criminal offenders who have been released from prison. They monitor parolees, help them find suitable living arrangements and meet with assigned parolees regularly. To be able to compete in this career field I have to earn a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, or social work. After completing 4 years of college I will have to complete a series classes that cover correctional strategies, forensics, legal research, criminal psychology and offender rehabilitation.
Mental Health counselor is the best career for me because it will bring me personal satisfaction, financial stability, and abilities to help others. First, a career as a mental health counselor would bring me personal satisfaction. In 7th grade, I started noticing deep cuts on the arms and legs of my fellow students, and dealt with those who felt like there is no hope for them. I’ve had to sit there and watch as those I care about fall to depression and beg to die, knowing there is very little I can do to help them.

Once appointed the justices will serve on the supreme court for the rest of their lives, unless they are impeached.

There are many careers to choose from the criminal justice fields like policing, probation officer, or U.S. marshals. Criminal justice has several fields that an individual can choose a career from. Problem solving skills are very important in every aspect of your life. How you solve a problem is who you are. If you solve problems swiftly then it can be said that you are a leader. If you are more of a downtempo problem solver, you tend to push things off. When I have problems, I strive to fix them hastily before they can get too extensive.
As defined in the book, Introduction to Criminal Justice, a prosecutor is “an appointed or elected member of the practicing bar who is responsible for bringing the state’s case against the accused,” whom protects the civil rights of the criminal defendant in the process of trial. Hence, a prosecutor is the most powerful person in the Criminal Justice system because of the rurality of a case settling in court. Thus, there are three types of prosecutors, whom shares the goal and the burden of protecting the civil rights bestowed in a nondiscriminatory manner. The first type of prosecutor is in the federal system, the United States attorneys whose main purpose is to carry out justice unbiasedly in federal court, and is appointed by the president. The second type, the attorney general is the chief legal officer who is also a prosecutor of each state, including the United States.
I have chosen astronomy. I chose this career because I have always been interested in the stars and planets. There are many things that appeal to me about this career such as the way the stars look at night and how colorful nebulas are. I have always been really fascinated with space and when i went to NASA i got to see a lot of different things about space, stars, and nebulas. You should have the ability to solve complex problems, conduct research and accurately analyze data.
