Imagine that 100 years ago, after a terrible war, a group of people created a system that would bring peace to humanity. They split up this new society into five factions. These five factions are Abnegation, the selfless; Amity, the friendly; Candor, the truthful; Erudite, the intelligent; and Dauntless, the brave, which are based on fundamental human traits. When one reaches a certain age the teenager will take an aptitude test to determine where they belong. These tests inform them what faction they belong to, but in the end, they decide where they want to live out their lives. There is a catch, if they decide to move to another faction, that is not the one they grew up in, they will have to leave their families and never see them again. Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley) made her decision to leave her family and move to the Dauntless faction. Divergent is a movie that follows Beatrice through her life as a divergent. Thesis (plot) To portray this movie they hired amazing actors, which created a love story, and incorporated special effects to make the plot more believable, but they could have involved a larger back story. With everything put together, Divergent moves fluently portraying what it might be if we end up living in a dystopian world sometime in the future. The special effects and the actors show us what being subjected to only one fundamental human trait may bring our world to. And in Four’s words “I don't want to be just one thing. I can't be. I want to be brave, and I want to be selfless, intelligent, and honest and kind. Well, I'm still working on kind.” In the end of the story of Divergent, Four and Tris...
