Most consumers feel intrigued when they see a commercial with their favorite artist’s tune playing. Some may feel compelled to buy the product being advertised if they recognize the music. This method of advertising is beneficial to both the artist, since they are getting exposure, and the company can sell more products. As the music business gets more competitive, it makes sense that an artist wants more exposure in order to sell their music. As long as the process is done legally, using an artist’s music in advertising is beneficial to both parties.
