Over the past decade video games have grown a lot since the first console to the recent one. Although today 's video games have been more violent, and disturbing, causing society to blame them for teens killings. With all these violent video games society has been more aware and has caused more controversy. This has caused parents to stop letting their children play violent video games. However I feel video games don 't create violence instead they do positives for you. Video games have positive characteristics, studies have shown that certain video games can improve reaction time and ability to process information. Based on my experiences with video games I have to agree. For example “Counter Strike Global Offensive” is a first person shooter. Studies have suggested that if the person does not have a solid self-control it can possibly lead to poor behavior. For example the 1999 Columbine High school massacre where Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed and injured people. Their classmates knew they were really into video games such as “Doom 3D” in which was rated for mature audiences. Moreover people thought it was the video game that caused them to this in which in fact their was no correlation since millions of players play it. On the other hand society will still think video games can cause violence they will try an throw at you many scenarios in which a teenager killed people or got addicted. In my experience I have played video games since I was 6 years old from racing games to violent video games in which I never thought of doing horrible actions.
