I believe that a knower’s (a person who is aware of the meaning or the information) perspective is essential in the pursuit (the act of striving to gain something) of knowledge as depending on the area of knowledge the person’s bias can influence the person’s knowledge. This is the reason behind the knowledge question explored in this essay: To what extent does bias affect the knower’s perspective. In my opinion the person can comprehend the information received differently when that person is biased. This claim can be explored through three areas of knowledge: history, arts and natural sciences.
History is a clear example of how bias can affect the way a person receives knowledge that was affecting the knower’s perspective. History is the

In disciplines like biology, chemistry or physics it is hard to imagine any room for bias however, before a law is discovered, the process starts with a hypothesis. In order to compose a hypothesis scientist have to rely on their intuition when choosing the experiment, variables and the approach. For example, when in physics class conducting an experiment, the students use their intuition, based on their knowledge about how to achieve a certain result or prove the existence of a law. This creates a question: To what extent does the intuition of the scientist effect the results of the experiment. In a hypothetical situation, when a student conducts an experiment and she or he achieves the results, described by the teacher, by choosing certain ways to lead the experiment. For example, the errors, the methods and the overall way of how the experiment should be conducted as in the materials used. All these factors are chosen based on the intuition of the person who is conducting the experiment, unless otherwise told. So ultimately, facts in science are based on one’s intuition. When people say natural science, they usually mean the classic biology, physics and chemistry; however, there is something that people tend to forget that is considered natural science – Pseudoscience . This type of science does not have the right or wrong result in the experiment, which means that the intuition is not the key factor in the result but is the major key in the process. Pseudoscience tends to hide the failed results in the experiment, rather than work on achieving the correct result as science does. So, the result of the experiment, while depending on the intuition, still does not effect the perspective of the knower, as there is no such thing as a wrong answer. I believe that intuition in natural science can be factor that can alter the
