Does Macbeth deserve the tragic hero title or should he be defined as a merly monster! Macbeth should be defined as a merely monster who was very power hunger and did things that no man shall do. For power or just to being seen as a high ranking person. He killed his own king just to be the king only selfish disrespectful people would such a thing as that. Macbeth only wanted the power he thought he was the best of the best no one will ever be able to stop him, but he will soon learn that he made a mistake for killing his own king just for the power. Macbeth does not deserve to be loaned the tragic hero title at all.

He was setting up a line of kings who would rule the same way he does they would follow in his foot tracks the night he kills King Duncan he tells his friend Banquo If you shall cleave to my consent, when ’tis, It shall make honor for you. After Macbeth says that he tells his right hand man Banquo to go to bed, Macbeth then goes and sees the dagger and says Thou marshall’st me the way that I was going, And such an instrument (Shakespeare II.1.43-44).
Which is saying you are leading me to the place where I was going already and I was planning to use a weapon just like you. So Macbeth was just waiting for the right time to do kill Duncan now that he has the chance to kill him he is going to do it. Which is very sick of him because he is doing it for the power and he wants to run the country a certain way and he knows that the people he is friends with will protect him so no can get to the him.
