Together Christopher 's mother 's father are both very different Christophers is a loyal caring man and his mother is a impulsive loving woman. However these fundamental differences make for different core beliefs. Christopher 's mother is more oriented on her life and checking in on Christopher but not taking care of him all the time whereas the father is very dedicated to Christopher and typically puts his life on the back burner to insure Christopher is getting what he needs. These differences lead to conflicts and awkward interactions between the two throughout the book. This likely because she left him and Christopher on their own because she couldn’t handle the responsibility she had and also because her core beliefs didn’t line up with what she had to do.

I really enjoyed reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time because it is a story that doesn’t often get told. For the most part, we know surface level details about special needs individuals, they attend the same schools as us, they work among us, but in many ways their world is completely separate from our own reality, and more often than not is a silent one. The Curious Incident provides a different outlook on these individuals, it forces the audience to feel, and empathize with Christopher rather than detach ourselves through facts and information. Simon Stephens adaptation of Mark Haddon’s novel “the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime”, was an inspiring play which left you overwhelming joyful and slightly confused by the end of the performance. The presentation is about a young protagonist, Christopher Boone trying to find out the mystery of who killed Mrs Shears dog, Wellington. The beginning of the play provides the whodunnit crime narrative structure. This allows a simple and optimistically tragic beginning of the Play (as the first thing you saw was a dead dog) showing off the innovative lighting and the inanimate characters.
