On Wednesday 10-14-15 at approximately 1700 hours I Officer Hildebrand and Sgt. Hard were advised by dispatch that Debra Vanblaricom was at the station asking to talk to an officer. Debra wished to report an assault on her granddaughter. We met with Debra in the Police Department to speak with her. Debra stated that she feared for her granddaughter 's safety.
On 12/09/2015, at approximately 1518 hours, this Officer received a call via radio and directed to Main and Lloyd Street for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. This officer and Officer Brown responded to the scene. When Officers arrived on scene I observed a 93 year old female lying in the middle of Main Street (State Route 924). The female was later identified as Agnes E. Ferguson (DOB: 7/24/22) who resides at 37 West Coal Street Shenandoah, PA 17976. A silver Subaru was stationary in the northbound lane of Main Street (SR 924) near Agnes.

On 03-07-16 at about 1839 hours, Officer Saunders #7720 and I responded to 610 N. Oakland Avenue #5 for a battery with great bodily injury investigation. Upon our arrival we met with Victim Raun Gibson who stated his daughter, Suspect Lanaye Gibson hit him several times across his face and bite him on his right forearm. Victim Gibson sustained two bite marks across his right forearm as a result of Suspect Gibson bitting him. I saw that Victim Gibson sustained two bite marks across his upper right forearm. Officer Saunders and I arrested Suspect Gibson for PC 243(d)-Battery with great bodily injury.
On 05/06/17, at 11:43am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 523 S Wayne Ave on a dog on dog or cat attack, no known owner. I arrived at the location and was met by Columbus Division of Police (CPD) and complainant Raquel Fuentes. I asked what happened; Ms. Fuentes stated that she was taken part in a community event by assisting with neighborhood clean-up with her dog (small white terrier) when a brown/white Pit Bull came out of nowhere and proceeded to attack her dog. With the assistance of passerby they were able to get the brown/white Pit Bull away from Ms. Fuentes dog.

On 04/14/17, at 4:30pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to the area of Carnation Drive and Blue Bonnett Drive on an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog to a minor. I arrived at the location and was met by dog owner Christine Belcher and Blendon Township Police Department (BTPD) Detective Sergeant E. Moynihan. I asked what happen, Ms. Belcher stated that her daughter Daisha Decree were walking their Rottweiler name Bolt when victim Victor Schuetz asked to pet the dog, Ms. Decree give permission. Mr. V Schuetz started petting Bolt on the underside of his neck and move to the top of his head where he was bit.
On Friday, November 4, 2016, at approximately 0649 hours, I Officer M. Alfaro was dispatched to 2713 Roosevelt Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, I Officer Alfaro was able to observed broken glass and blood in front of the residence. I was also able to see that the front glass door was broken. As I walked to the front door, I announce my presence and the complainant, later identified as Cora Whitfield DOB: 9/28/1970 came out.

If you are using the crate method for housebreaking your puppy, never leave him/her inside of the crate for more than two hours at a time. Puppies cannot control their bathroom habits yet, so make sure to let them out frequently. Your pet will soon grow to understand that he/she should go outside of the home to relieve itself and your housebreaking approach will be a success.
On 07/01/17, at 3:21pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to Kids Kingdom Childcare and Learning Center (970 Oakland Park Ave), on a dog at large, no known owner. I arrived at the location and met with complainant Latanya Cox and victim Jamaal Cox Jr. Ms. Cox stated that she sent her grandson outside to retrieve something from her vehicle. When her grandson returned, he stated that a brown and white pit bull was outside growled and approached him. He was able to get inside before the pit bull caused any harm. Ms. Cox escorted me outside where she point out a white house just behind the childcare center.

Sometimes there are stories on the news about attacks on people done by a pit bull, but not all dogs are bad. How dangerous are pit bulls really?

Even though many people believe emotional support dogs are considered service dogs and should have the same rights as the others, owners of service dogs are treated unfairly because of the increase in numbers of fake service dogs. This affects the ability for one to use a service dog to its full potential. People cannot be asked to leave a public place if the business thinks it is a fake dog because some service dogs are simply under-trained. The population of those using fake service dogs or emotional support animals are ruining the ability for the disabled to use them without being questioned.
The issue of Homelessness has turned out to be a standout amongst the most critical social and political issues of our opportunity. A homeless person is an individual without a lasting home who may live in the city; remain in a safe house, mission, single room inhabitants offices, relinquished building or vehicle; or in some other precarious or non-perpetual circumstances. The most essential policy issues contributing are housing, mental health, drug abuse, income, aging and long term care. According to the Chicago Coalition Homeless using the Chicago Public Schools data “estimated there were 125,848 homeless Chicagoans during the 2014-15 school year.” Before 1980, the United States did not encounter extensive homelessness.
