What would you do if you had a gun pointed at your head by your spouse several times? Or beaten twice a week? Leslie Morgan Steiner, has been though domestic abuse and creates a speech to answer a question most people ask, “Why does she stay?” (Steiner). When most people in Larimer County, and throughout Colorado, think of domestic violence, physical altercations between people who live together come to mind. There are a number of situations, however, which may be considered domestic violence in the state of Colorado. By understanding the state’s laws on this type of offense, it may help people to avoid situations that could result in them facing criminal charges. I chose to do my bridge project over the subject of domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence. I feel such a passion for this subject. A lot of times this subject is often brushed over or looked past. I wanted to create awareness and draw attention to the subject. Because of this reason, I chose to create a brochure.

There are many women who are being forced into sex, beaten or perhaps abused in her lifetime by a person called a man. We have buried a lot of women, of which their death resulted from women abuse issue, some women today have anger and can’t even raise their children properly, they are angry with everyone and some can’t even face the world.
