During the second World War, the Germans performed horrific experiments on Jews, along with all the other appalling abominations they practiced. 6 million Jews were murdered during the holocaust. (Yad Vashem, 2015) The Nazi’s methods of extermination were horrible, but the experiments they performed are almost unspeakable. Dr. Mengele was an SS Garrison Physician at Auschwitz in 1943. He was sometimes referred to as the “Angel of Death” because he was in charge of where the new arrivals went. He chose if people went directly to the gas chambers, or were kept alive to work. He also was involved in many of the medical experiments that were performed at Auschwitz. He was very interested in twins and his tests frequently were on them. As he
