Driving under the influence of alcohol is dangerous. People that are drunk are can’t walk straight. When you drink it affects your brain and you reaction. Many People think that they can drive drunk because they think they are great drivers. Fact is even after one drink of alcohol you brain already reacts slower. Also it damages your brain so you can’t read or tell what is going on and slows down your motor skills. Many people drive drunk because they are out to have a fun time or addicted to liquor. I have seen what it does to the family. I have a close friend that has lost his mom cause of a crash because of alcohol. It ruined the family and have had to learn how to deal with not having a mom. It is really hard cause the mom is not there to help with homework or to be there when they get home from school. Also drug have become a problem with driving. People on marijuana have high rate of crashing then under the influence of alcohol. The have some same problems that alcohol has but also you can have trouble dealing with lights and are a lot slower when reacting to driving. People are affected by drunk driving the ones who lost a loved one and the drunk. The love ones lose a family member or a loved one. The drunk has to live with killing a person and ruining a family. I would hate to be in the situation of being the drunk but also being somebody in the family. It is something nobody should encounter but it happens weekly. So we should stop letting people drink and drive but the cops can’t shut down bars and people won’t stop driving
