Most teenagers in the 21st century have dealt with peer pressure especially narcotic incidents. It is very easily done to get hooked on a drug as a minor. Sometime in your life, there will be a moment when you hang out with your friends and they bring out drugs and ask you if you want some. Even if you say no they will still continuously have tension towards you. Marijuana is the most common drug used by teens (Bellum).Social scientists believe young people are more common with the usage of drug substances because they consider it a “normal” part of their lives (Shiner and Newborn). So, if you really care about your education and extracurricular activities you wouldn’t even think twice about doing drugs. That’s why every school should have required drug tests. If you have a clean slate through your school years, you will have an immense chance to have an exceptional job. One mistake with the substance of any sort can cause terrible impact to you, your club/sport, and your school. There is a lesser possibility for teens to abuse substances when in sports (Olmsted).
