Drug testing is a way to help that thought. Student athletes should have to pass a drug test to be able to participate in their sport. There is no harm in doing so. Drug testing is a safe way to look for current or prior use that someone is consuming illegal or prescription drugs. By misusing prescription medicines, that person is using that medicine in a way that was not provided by a prescriber. They put the effort, patience, and motivation into what they love to do to benefit the journey that they go through. Schools are attempting to create a drug-free environment for the students to keep them safe. When an athlete is clean from drugs, they are more likely to be healthy in life. Although athetes have to make lots of changes in their lives, they always figure out a way to be consistent. Staying away from drugs is the first step to keep your body healthy. On top of that, keeping athletes clean could result in social benefits and could bring them to a professional level. One huge step for student athletes is the recruitment process. If the athlete is drug-free they have a higher chance of being recruited and pursuing a professional sports career.
