Duramax Diesel
Duramax Diesel is the best on the market because they are the number one seller in the automotive industry and named best by Motortrend of America (Reed). The reason that Duramax
Diesel is the best choice engine is because it is an original design, using a V-8 engine. The diesel engine is the best choice of engine because they get the best fuel mileage and last longer. When diesels are running their fuel lean they don't get much horsepower(Louise). In a diesel truck they have to burn fuel to make more horsepower. It also helps that they have a 6-speed transmission and not the five speed transmission. When the the five speed was out they ran a higher rpm.Which it meant that it ran at a higher rpm than the six speed runs at around 1,500 rpm.Duramax has the best transmission on the market that can be bought stock. The Allsion one thousand is none all over the place. They use the transmission in big trucks and in commercial equipment. They are none for the durability and withstand the intense of pulling and hauling heavy loads in the …show more content…
The engines are none for there durability and long lasting(Reed). The average diesel will last around 250,000 miles but some of them last even longer. If you take care of the truck the proper way you will not end up paying a lot of money to fix anything. When diesel brake down they cost a lot to fix because everything is built thicker than gas truck parts. The average cost to replace a stock transmission is right around $3,600.If the head gasket go out it's another $3,000 to fix.Diesel are not cheap to maintain. The good thing is they don't wear down as fast as fast as a gas engine would wear
