"This essay will be over how much the gas prices have increased over the past year and how gas prices and diesel prices compare. Gas prices and diesel prices over the past year have increased about four percent, I believe they will keep increasing for the years to come.
According to, “AAA gas prices” the national average gas prices like for regular, premium, and mid- grade have gone up more than four percent in the past year. Regular gasoline a year ago was $2.211 a gallon and then a year later it was $2.462 so it increased by two tenths of a gallon. Even though it does not seem like a big deal for some people, when someone like me does not work and has to pay for gas it gets pretty hard for you to pay for gasoline. Diesel has increased about four tenths of a gallon since a year ago, a year ago it was $2.428 and now it is $2.837. When you have a diesel truck your truck will in other words “suck” some diesel which means that when you fill up a truck by the end of the week you will have to refill your tank again. Say for example, like me when I drove my mom’s dually for one week and by the end of the week I had to get more diesel, and to fill her truck up it takes about seventy dollars’ worth. The highest ever gasoline and diesel prices ever recorded in history is $4.114 and these gas prices was recorded in July 17, 2008 and the highest diesel price was also recorded this year and it was $4.845. Compared to today the prices have decreased by at least two dollars and hopefully it will not increase in the next year,
