May it please the court, counsel, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, good afternoon. We are here because on July 16, 2017, Kerry Bell-Leon accused Dylan Hendricks of attempted murder with a gun. Ladies and gentlemen this is a case of attempted murder. The prosecution will go first but we ask that you wait until you have heard from our witnesses and the prosecutions witnesses before making up your mind. We the defense want to prove to you that in fact Dylan Hendricks did not attempt murder on Kerry Bell-Leon on the night of July 16, because Dylan was in a uber; which was driven by Jamie Morrison when he arrived on the scene of the murder. On the night of July 16 Kerry Bell-Leon claimed to have seen Dylan Hendricks in her home, before attempting to murder her with a gun. But our client Dylan Hendricks had no way of doing this because at the time of the murder he was in the Uber. She is an uber driver and an expert in the use of technology and mechanical engineering to cause displacement and relocation. She became an Uber driver in May of 2017. Her shifts start at 9 P.M and end around 2:30 A.M. She knows a lot of the people around downtown including the owners of the food trucks. She noticed that the Souper Soups truck (which is operated by Dylan Hendricks) was parked across from Chuggies on July 16 2017 at 10:00 P.M. which was also her first time seeing the truck downtown. At 11:11 P.M. she saw it was gone. At 11:25 P.M. she got a call from Dylan to pick him up. She drove Dylan to Chuggies at 11:27. The drive from downtown to Dylan’s home is around 10-15 minutes, but with traffic 30 minutes. She dropped Dylan off at Chuggies at 11:38 P.M.
