On april 20, 1999 in Colorado at Columbine High School, two students Dylan Klebold

and Eric harris shot and killed 13 students and killing themselves. It was one of the worst tragedy

in school shootings ever. What made them do this horrible tragedy ? There has been many

thoughts why they did this. Eric and Dylan Klebold was part of a gang called “ Trench Coat

Mafia outcasts’’. The gang was trying to get back on the people that bullied them or made school

hard on them.

Eric Harris is a very unpredictable tennager that has thoughts well beyond any other

teenager. He was very sweet-faced and well-spoken. Kids in Columbine High School often

Most people believe that it was because of his psychopathic nature mixed

with his hate for the school. In his journal, he often wrote about how he hated the school and

jocks that inhabited it. Eric and Dylan got along well, and it is believed that Eric fed off of

Dylan’s depressive and homicidal state, which only fed the fire of Eric’s hatred.

Dylan Klebold was a quiet student at Columbine High, and did not hang out with

many other people other than Eric and his other friend. Dylan’s motives were easier to figure out

than Eric’s. In his journal, he often wrote about how he wanted to kill himself and kill

everybody, and this led him to engage in the plan with Eric. Dyan also fed off of Eric and his

hatred because he needed someone to help him cope with his depression and Eric was perfect for

that. Eric made him feel like he was almost invincible. The two boys planning the shooting

together, and how good they got along, was almost a perfect storm.

Dylan and Eric’s motives were almost out of this world. They clicked too well to fathom.

Without Eric, Dylan would have never pulled off the shooting and probably would have ended

up eventually changing his ways and came out of his depressive state. They both fueled
