The novel 1984 by George Orwell, in the novel Orwell predicts about how the world would be in the future. In the novel, Winston Smith lives in Oceania, Oceania is a dystopian society ruled by the government know as “Big Brother”. In the novel 1984 by George Orwell, Orwell’s novel projects a society that’s being controlled and monitored by the Government also known as “Big Brother”, Big Brother is a totalitarian government that manipulates everything including the past, present and the future. Now days our Government has the power to monitor and control society in indirect ways. What if I proved that every time we login into our computers, use your phone, every web page we visit, including the news is being controlled and monitored by the government.Technology is taking us closer to the world of Big Brother with technology being the biggest threat to our freedom and the biggest way from us to become an Orwellian Society. Surveillance Technology has drastically progressed giving the Government more approaches to screen and control us.
