Unit 1, served to introduce the multiple roles of an Early Childhood teacher and the ability to function effectively in these capacities; in order to meet the holistic needs of children in the field. Emphasis was placed also, on various factors that affect the early childhood practice and there importance, as it relates to the overall responsibility for child development. As we delved further into the topics surrounding this unit, valuable group and class discussions were sparked and meaningful content extracted. Such content sought to highlight the importance of early childhood teachers in creating an integrated teaching and learning environment to assist students with making connections and finding meaning through educational processes.
I believe this type of well-organized schedule helps the children to know what is expected of them. Also, the hands on approach between the students and the teacher allows for individualized learning for the children. Finally, I found their purposely using open ended questions to encourage the children into thinking for themselves during the Choice Time to be an excellent teaching method. 2. Provide a descriptive personal or professional observation that is similar to the concept you selected from the video (use initials in place of a child’s name).

The Early Years Learning Framework of Australia enriches and extends children’s learning and playing in supporting children’s being, becoming and belonging. This part mainly discusses the links between the project and EYLF. According to EYLF, children have a strong sense of identity, and they develop knowledge and confident self-identities. During daily learning and play, children will discover different identities whether they are cultural or social, and they will discover various points of view from others.
Fuller and Strath (2001) conducted a quantitative research study that examined local populations of early education organizations based on the 1990 household census data to report features of the early childhood workforce nationwide. Multiple economic and regulatory forces shaped the population of early education organizations that operated within states and local communities. The median center-based teacher was 34 years of age, reported having completed some college, and was married. The median family childcare home provider had a high school diploma. Fifteen percent of all preschool teachers in urban areas were African American and 8% were Latina.
After reading, “CALISTHENICS for a Child 's Mind” by Ingrid Wickelgren and “Getting Preschool Right” by Melinda Wenner Moyer I became very educated on a subject I was unfamiliar with. Additionally, I believe we should support and put more focus towards improving preschools for high risks populations. Preschools are where children learn essential life skills that create the building blocks for the child’s education in the future. The article, “Getting Preschool Right” states that “In a 2001 study, researchers at the University of Virginia found that the quality of children 's relationships with their kindergarten teacher predicted various academic and behavioral outcomes in eighth grade. "Whatever happens in children 's first educational

Early Childhood Education: Theoretical Perspectives Abstract Studies confirm that high-quality education early in a child’s life leads to continued success in school, at work, and results in a healthier well-rounded student who is emotionally and socially strong. In most early childhood programs and schools, technology will be part of the learning background of the future. To make sure this new technology is used effectively, we must confirm that teachers are fully trained and supported. In this paper, theoretical perspectives of child development are discussed with the basic elements of learning program.
Throughout this paper, I am going to discuss the three stages of "The Reflection Cycle". These three stages include: describe, analyze, and plan. Under the describe stage I will be summarizing my learning experience throughout this course and emphasize who, what, when, where, and how this course helped me. Analyzing stage will discuss a breakdown of all of the assignments and how the benefited me and what areas need to be improved. It will also show how it worked for me and how it didn 't and finally it will end with me saying what I learned throughout the semester and how I learned it.
Philosophy Paper The early life of a child is one of the busiest times of their lives. Most of these children will be sent to a daycare or preschool facility where they will be taught the foundation of their knowledge, which will effect the way the learn for the rest of their lives. Not only will it affect the way they learn, but also the early skills that they are taught will help to shape them into the adults they will one day become.
I am incredibly grateful to have received this scholarship. I am currently on the way to graduate with my Early Childhood Education degree in the spring of 2018. It has been a bit of a rocky road for me in my college years; I support and live by myself, and the cost of paying my tuition has weighed heavily on my shoulders. By being selected to earn this scholarship, I can now focus more on my education instead of my financial issues that comes with paying tuition.
Being an educator is a career I have always envisioned for myself. For the majority of my life, I never really knew why, I just knew that educating others was a part of me and that was what I was supposed to do. I have had a lot of experience with children, but loving working with them was not a good enough reason for me as to why I wanted to teach. It was not until high school that I finally realized why. I come from a very small school district, so everyone is very close.
I would recommend this course to someone else as I thought it had a lot of great information. I enjoyed the look at my own paradigms, the way I see life. What I believe about what you think helps sculpt the way I think about it, or “I am what I think you think I am” (Landvatter, 2013, para. 1). This was a huge idea when I was first exposed to it. Hard to understand, and harder to try and relate to others.
Topic: Justify the inclusion of social studies in the early childhood curriculum To say that social studies should not be included in the early childhood curriculum, would be an understatement. Just take an in-depth study at what social studies is and its key goals. we must justify the inclusion of social studies in the early childhood curriculum because it is closely linked to the key goals and the growth and development of early childhood age children. Early childhood education will be broadened by adding social studies to the curriculum.
