As a future early childhood education major, the progression of kids you have helped, supported, loved, and enjoyed your time with is rewarding in many ways. It takes a vast, loving heart to be able to care for children the rest of your life, and the achievements I have accomplished have proved that a career of putting the future generations education as a top priority will end in success for my students, and myself.
Evodie Saadoun Trevor Kallimani Hist 210 13th October 2015 Women in the American Revolution There is a proverb that says, “The woman is born free and remains equal to men in rights”. Since the eighteenth century, women still try to be equal to men and try to be independent. During the American Revolution, women were dependent on their husband. This meant they had to cook, clean and take care of their children. They were not allowed to do what they wanted.
Box 1 – The College of Liberal Arts at Temple has been a great conduit for providing opportunities for my intellectual and professional development. First and foremost, I feel extremely privileged to be part of Temple’s CLA Honors Program due the outstanding faculty, both teaching and administrative. I again feel lucky to have been exposed to several fantastic clubs and organizations, such as the Temple Economics and Political Science societies, that pertain to my fields of study. I’ve also been afforded possibilities to attend lectures given by prominent academics and scholars, in particular the talks given by Professor Joseph Schwartz on political theory. Learning from the exceptional professors and commingling and collaborating with other
Since I started my pursuit for a career in education I have established a personal commitment to maximizing the success of every student. I understand the impact that my teachers had on me and I know that I can positively impact the students of today. I wanted to reach out to introduce myself for consideration in regards to the position of: Grade 4 Teacher - Mansion Avenue School. Your students, staff, families, and community deserve the very best educators to join your team and I know that my philosophy of teaching the whole child would be a wonderful addition to Audubon School District, specifically Mansion Avenue School.
I would define the liberal arts as an education which allows individuals to expressively learn freely by thinking critically, considering peers' morals and openly communicating. I believe a liberal arts education can help me develop as a whole person by providing me with the tools to think critically, communicate effectively, and understand the world around me in a more nuanced and empathetic way. A liberal arts education encourages you to think critically and approach problems from multiple perspectives. This skill is not only valuable in your academic pursuits but also in your personal and professional life.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Briona Mcall, as your child’s new teacher in K-2 CDC special education class. I was recently hired at Holston View Elementary School as Mrs. McMurray is moving to Hong Kong to teach special education. We are excited for her and wish her the best. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Special Education from East Tennessee State University in 2015. I completed my student teaching in Bristol at Anderson Elementary and Tennessee High School
I am interested in pursuing a degree as it will help me gain a deeper understanding of this field and enhance my leadership skills. As a newly promoted mentor teacher, I am keen on improving my knowledge and expertise in early childhood education. My goal is to become proficient in higher education and help aspiring teachers gain the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful in their careers. Working as a mentor teacher within the field of early childhood education is important to me because it provides me with the opportunity to inspire and motivate educators I work with. Being a Mentor Teacher will allow me to share my experiences, knowledge, and skills with the teachers I work with.
I am a responsible, hard-working, ambitious and kind person who has a strong passion to attain a career in education. My ambition is to become a primary school teacher and I firmly believe that in order to work in education it is the desire to help and assist children in achieving their best. Working in education can be tough and challenging, which is one of the reasons that I really love about working in this profession. I am applying for this course because I feel that I have the potential to inspire and encourage children of all abilities and for them to reach their full potential. Working in education has always been my passion and dream goal to be a primary school teacher since I was young.
I am applying to your master’s program in library science for the summer of 2016. After earning my undergraduate degree in elementary education and generic special education from Texas Woman’s University, I worked thirty-five years in public education system. I worked for Denton ISD and La Porte ISD, both of which are located in Texas. I have taught at both the elementary and secondary level. All of my teaching experience has been in the area of special education.
Each time people ask me why I decided to become a teacher, I always travel back in my life at the time I was a teenager. My dream was to serve to my country and be admired for doing it properly. I wanted to be a Police Officer; however, I also wished to leave a legacy in people’s mind and hearts, something that could live on after my life was drained from this world. Mustafa Kemal mentioned; “A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others”. When I read that quote eight years ago, I realized I wanted to be that light who guides children’s path during their learning process, teach them how to become in future candles in a world of darkness, I wanted to be one of the reasons why they come to school, to be part of them not only as a teacher, but also as a family member, because I strongly believe what we do in life, echoes in eternity.
Going forward a liberal arts education will be key for me to attain my goals. Specifically a Hollins liberal arts education. I am interested in pursuing pre-law, creative writing, art, and equine studies. At a typical technical based studies program I would be unable to study and learn what I 'm passionate about. It has been said that if you choose a job you love you will never have to work another day, and I fully intend to live my life with zeal doing what I love and am truly passionate about, and a liberal arts education will help me achieve that.
During my time as an undergraduate student, I was originally planning on becoming a general education teacher. However, one of the required courses I had to take at the University of Virginia's College at Wise is the Inclusion of the Exceptional Student. While observing students, interacting with students, and completing my course work, I realized my passion for teaching special education. For the past three years, I have been a special education teacher at Wise County Schools in St. Paul Virginia.
The knowledge gained through my undergraduate degree in Childhood Studies; has equipped me with a solid foundation in the psychological, sociological and educational development of children. Through the course I learnt how to become an inclusive, versatile and well-rounded educator. As a result I was able to gain a 2:1 degree, which I hope will further demonstrate my academic ability to study at this level.
I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about education and excited to share the joy of learning with students. The perspective of wonder and sense of excitement that children bring into education motivates me daily. Teaching can leave a lasting impression in a child’s life and offers a special opportunity to shape the bright young minds of future generations. While many professions can be impactful, I believe the qualities of the person in the career position to be the most influential.
There is this famous saying, ''Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow". I could not agree more. Growing up as a kid, I vividly recall myself always being enthusiastic to learn and explore. Now I stand on the state where I can proudly say that this passion has driven my growth, motivated me to grow even further and augmented my hunger for quality education.
