Elvis Presley is a famously renowned rock artist. From musical billboards, to Las Vegas Elvis shows, to scholarly articles about Elvis’s life, Elvis Presley has gone down in history as a popular musical figure who redefined music. Elvis Presley was born in the United States, Tupelo, Mississippi (“Elvis Presley” 1). At a very young age, Elvis grew a love for music. He learned how to play the guitar when he was only eleven years old. The year Elvis Presley was officially considered as a musical entity was 1954, when he got discovered at Sun Records by Sam Phillips. It wasn’t until the year 1956, when he signed with RCA Records and became a worldwide sensation(“Elvis Presley” 1). Elvis Presley for the most part was known as a solo artist, but he did however perform with a band. The band that was formed to play alongside Elvis were The Bluemoon Boys. Elvis had a very strong influence by African-American blues, gospel, and Southern country music. Due to his strong influence in music, Elvis was able to create a unique sound of music.
