Have you ever heard of the King of Rock and Roll? Elvis Presley was that man. Presley was known for being a bit shy, very famous, and really popular. Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. As a child Presley was a little bit shy. Presley was from a religious family and they attended a church. The Pentecostalists, a Christian festival, were called the Holy Rollers, a term Elvis hated all his life. The church that the Presleys attended was called The First Assembly of God Church. Elvis felt that church was the only place for Elvis to practice his singing.
