Emma Kneller P2 4/29/24. The character I chose was Emily Brent. In the book And There Were None it talks about some deep topics death, suicide and murder and why they did it and in class we talked about some of the reasons they could of done it and we ranked it from least to greatest and that helped me decide who i wanted to choose. . The way the girl died is by drowning herself, the reason that she did it is because of her and what she said affected her that much to the point of her dying. My reasoning is that it could have been stopped if she didn't say that her baby was a sin and kicked her out of the house while she was seventeen years old and pregnant with no support, even though it was not her choice and she obviously did not want to get pregnant. And yelled at her and said some irreplaceable thing that affected her mental state causing her to drown. on 64 it says “she was quite old enough to know how to behave.I told her what a low deprived thing she was.I told her that she was beyond the pale and that no decent person would take her into their house.I told her that her child would be the child of sin and would be branded all its life -and that man would naturally not dream of marrying her.I told her that i felt soiled for ever having her under my roof.”and that is a explanation of how bad she was and how she felt no remorse on her what she had done, and that makes the case even worse. Other people might say that there are a lot worse characters in the book, for example people might say that it is Philp Lombard since he abandoned twenty one men to save himself
