Emily Dickinson is an American poet. She wrote very many poems. She did not leave her house for a long period of time. Emily Dickinson’s poetry is noted for her discussion of everyday activities and emotions, despite her self-imposed removal from the everyday world.
She was born on December 10, 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts (source 1.) She is known to be depressed and reclusive with a small touch of humor at times, and she pours the emotions she has into her poems (source 1.) On May 15, 1886, Emily died at age fifty-five from Bright’s Disease (source 1.) After her death, her sister found about nine hundred of the 1,775 poems she wrote (source 1.)
