Emily Post was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 3, 1872. Post, early on, showed interest as a traveling correspondent, crossing the United States by car and touring Europe throughout World War I. However, later she turned her attention to writing. Post was extremely successful after publishing her first book Etiquette, although she did writer smaller pieces that we famous among the people. Emily’s book was serialized in several popular magazines and newspapers. Post’s many earlier stories were published in Vanity Fair, Collier’s and McCall’s. She wrote and accomplished five novels besides Etiquette: Flight of a Moth (1904), Purple and Fine Linen (1906), Woven in the Tapestry (1908), The Title Market (1909), and The Eagle's Feather (1910). Emily wrote in various styles to express her passion. She published her first etiquette book Etiquette in Society, in Business, in Politics, and at Home in 1922, when she was 50 years old. It then became a best-seller, and updated versions grew to be popular for decades, and it made her career. Her name has become known, mainly in North America, with proper etiquette and manners. Although she was born rich, she was not egotistic type. She was very polite and respected others. Later, she started writing short stories, novels, and books.
