At age nine Emma Watson auditioned eight times for a role in Harry Potter that would change her life(“Emma Watson”). After starring in Harry Potter Watson’s career kicked off. Ever since she has acted in at least 21 movies. Through acting, she has noticed that females aren’t treated the same as males when it comes down to acting. Emma Watson is an influential advocate of feminism and equality through her actions, including her influence for actresses, strong belief in equality, and charity work. Emma Watson impacted feminism through her influence on young actresses. As a young girl Watson looks up to Goldie Hawn, Julia Roberts, and Sandra Bullock(Astrum). The use of charities allows people to support the topics/issues they believe in. Actors and actresses donate their money to the charities they believe in because they make more money than they need. Instead of her fans sending her gifts Watson asks them to donate to a children’s charity(Alecia). By the use of her fans Watson highly recommends them to donate; this shows us that she cares more about the charities than herself. Through her influence on young girls, her focus on equality, and all of her charity work Emma Watson has become a huge influential advocate. Watson has been in the acting career ever since she was six and it shows little girls that they can do whatever they want even though they are young. She has believed in equality for her entire life because her mentors showed that it is an important thing the world should have. With all of the money she doesn’t need to survive Watson donates it to many charities. Without all the people like Emma Watson females would not be able to do everything they can
