Oprah and Ellen are both very influential people in the media, they are both two of the strongest female talk show host who has helped to pave the way for other women in their field. They have helped prove that women can do the same as men and are as strong and independent. These women are both extremely similar because of the morals. They both believe in giving back to their communities, using their platforms to positively affect people's lives, and are both activists for women's rights and improving the livelihood of women. They are both very similar, having two women from to different walks of life who have the same morals and want to impact people's lives positively. Oprah has impacted the lives of women global by helping fund many organization helping women in difficult times grow to their full potential. According to People magazine is “She backs Women for Women International, which supports the financial, educational, and interpersonal needs of women survivors of war, poverty, and injustice, as well as Girl Effect, a movement working to end poverty in adolescent women”. By her supporting a foundation like this goes to show her passion for women's rights, she does support much other organization who are established to help women. Ellen shows her compassion toward women in need in a very similar way, for example, Ellen has shown her support and her belief in empowering these women's lives when she uses her show to discuss things that are controversial about gender equality. She has used her platform to discuss issues were companies, or people present in the media have said things that are derogatory of rude towards women. She has brought up controversial topics helping people to understand why it is wrong and helps to start many conversations.
