They can change the mindset of a group of people whether it is teens, adults, or seniors by one talk or one random movement to change the wrongs in the world. Harriet Tubman displayed this everyday by not letting her fear get to her and continuing the mission of saving many slaves day by day. She always had the fear of getting captured and tortured if she was returned back to her owner. She also was living in constant fear of being shipped to the deep south. The deep south felt like a death sentence to almost any slave that had been sent down there. Yet, Harriet Tubman still saved any and all willing slaves that would follow her. She would never let the fear get the best of her because she knew that one can not make a statement without doing the needed steps to achieve it. Everyone has the moment where fear gets the best of them. Children dream of becoming a scientist or firefighter. Yet many of these children get stopped in the middle of the road, dead in their tracks to achieving a goal because of society and fear. Society tells everyone what not to do. Harriet Tubman had to deal with society saying how wrong it was to escape a owner who rightfully owned her and many other slaves. Not only with the society saying it was wrong to do the things she was doing , Harriet Tubman also had to deal with fear. The fear always lingers in everyone’s mind forever no matter how hard they try to forget fear and what
