Enders Game by Orson Scott Cars is about a boy named Andrew "Ender" Wiggins. Ender is the youngest of three Genius Children in his family, and both Peter and Valentine have worn the same monitor that Ender wore. Though neither had the monitor for as long, and neither were selected to battle school. Battle School is the Military Run training facility the trains soldiers from the time they are children to be efficient and effective soldier for the international fleet. Enders success in being selected to train at battle school angers Peter, and upsets loving Valentine.
Ender’s Game is a book about Ender (Real name Andrew) Wiggin. Ender is a third (not allowed at the time unless the government allows it.) he went to battle school when he was 6 years old he bounced for army to army until he got his own army the dragon army. When he was too good for battle school he was moved to command school where he and his friends are tricked into killing the buggers.
Enders Game Ender overcomes his situation but he goes through many obstacles before he can get where his right now. In the beginning of the story Ender gets his monitor removed and when he goes back to class, a kid named Stilson teases him, and Ender seems bored with school because he knows all the answer. After school, he beats up his bully Stilson and it makes him feel like he has become a bully like Peter which makes him cry. Peter is one of his siblings that has a hate love relationship with him because Ender gets selected to go to battle school and had his monitor longer than Peter or Valentine his sister.
The straggles of the kids whose parents are not at home a whole lot are shown in the novel Williwaw. Which is written by Tom Bodett and published in 1999, is a story about two kids from Alaska, Ivan and September who are 12 and 13 years old, they got into the trouble because they did not follow their dads rules. The main theme “challenges of life” can clearly be seen within the novel Williwaw. For Ivan and September challenges of taking care for themselves means staying at home alone for several weeks because their father is not home and their mother died a few years ago. That means that they have to look after themselves and stay out of the troubles and the most important follow their dads rules.
Ender’s Game Outline Thesis Statement: Ender Wiggins is a bad person because he destroys and entire race, cares more about winning than his soldiers’ well-being, and hurts and even kills people. I. Topic sentence: Ender Wiggins is a bad person because he intentionally destroys a whole race. a. Evidence #1: He blows up and entire planet b. Evidence #2: He frequently fantasizes about killing buggers and agrees to go to a school specifically intended to train him to destroy them. c. Analysis: The fact that Ender is able to destroy a whole race without even thinking about it twice shows that he is cold-hearted. He is able to commit mass murder which is one of the many traits of being a bad person.
This is also when Ender realizes that the buggers could have been friendly and peaceful. One important theme in this book is the isolation of Ender. Ender must be
In Orson Scott Card’s book Ender’s Game, Ender is continually set up against impossible odds by the International Fleet, which is part of a plan to train Ender to fight in the Third Invasion and end the bugger wars forever. Ender’s trials are portrayed more convincingly in the book, as the book shows him struggling with the expectations placed upon him more so than in the movie. An important theme in Ender’s Game is that Ender is continually kept in the dark about the events happening around him. This theme is prevalent throughout the book, and sets the stage for the book’s climax, the Third Invasion.
The book “Forged by Fire” by Sharon M. Draper is a book with many themes and lessons we all can learn. One of the themes that this essay will talk about will be about loyalty. For one thing, loyalty is a strong feeling because it’s something that comes from inside of a person to have faith in someone. Also the fact that we’re all loyal to someone, someone who’s special in our lives and plays a major role in our lives that drags us to support them no matter what. In this book, Gerald gets abused by his drunk, ferocious father whom he absolutely abominates.
Ender then goes and is faced with challenges everyday to test who he is. Ender finally destroys the buggers, but finds out that they weren 't trying to hurt the humans. These important parts are shown in both the book and the movie, however the book is a better showing of Ender’s journey. There are multiple themes and plots that are necessities for Ender’s journey. One plot that was noticed was that Ender has a free pass to be a killer.
My book report is on "Ender 's Game" by Orson Scott Card. Ender 's Game is a military sci-fi book that has received many awards. The author did continue the series on Ender, however the military aspect of it did not continue with the series. Ender Wiggins was only allowed to born so that he can save the human race from exstinction. Since birth he was a outcast, hated by his brother Peter, and constantly being hurt by everyone except his sister Valentine.
Hook: “At last he came to a door, with these words in glowing emeralds: THE END OF THE WORLD He did not hesitate. He opened the door and stepped through” (73). Topic: The life of an adult is not all it 's cracked up to be.
In Lord of the Flies by William Golding, young boys get stranded on an island with no adults in the midst of a war. The boys were orderly and civilized in the beginning but then as they began killing pigs they slowly became savages and lost their civilization. The boys began turning on each other and the evil within them became present. Golding uses a variety of literary devices including personification, symbols, metaphors, and irony, to project the theme that pure and realistic people in the world can be unheard and destroyed by evil.
Chapter One: “We’re people not Thirds, turd face.” Ender’s classmates treat him like he isn’t even human, like he’s an alien. They see him as a little boy who can’t defend himself, a little boy who wasn’t even supposed to exist because he’s a Third. The bullies feel the need to gang up on him even though he is only a small boy, because the more Ender fears them, the more power they have over him. They want to make him feel absolutely worthless by calling him vulgar names.
Family trust and secrets are two major themes in the book Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. Readers are first presented with the fact that Lydia, the favorite child in a family of five, is dead, and they are taken on an crazy, complex journey to find out how and why. Through this journey they detect the growing tension between family members, and how their desire to keep secrets from each other ultimately lead to family discord. Personally, I believe that family members do not need to, but rather are encouraged, to share their feelings with one another.
The message of inner evil is portrayed throughout the book by the destruction of the conch, terrifying beast, and character developments to establish the hidden message throughout the novel. For instance, at the beginning of the novel, the conch symbolized order and power.
