Enduring Ideas and Traditions of the Greek Culture and Western World
Greek culture has had a major impact on most of the Western world. This is obvious in the many enduring traditions and institutions that have been developed over the years, such as Democracy, Architecture, and Literature. These texts have been read and studied by scholars throughout the world for centuries, and they have had a lasting impact on Western culture. Much of Greek culture has been in the Western world, despite the various disruptions and conquests that have taken place over the course of history in Greek culture. Some of these traditions were adopted by the West much later than the others, but they all have had an extreme impact on the way we live today. Which is why enduring traditions and institutions of Greek culture that extended to the Western world included Democracy, Architecture and Literature.
Ancient Greece and Rome were some of the first civilizations to extend democracy to their citizens through a variety of means.
