In English comp 1 with Ms. Ohmes we learned about how to write a good fair summary along with a thesis statement. On top of how to correctly revise an essay with good body paragraphs. What all need to be in a fair summary, a thesis statement, also the body paragraphs. I also learned how to organize a paragraph and be descriptive in the paragraphs. One thing I did relatively well at is writing a fair summary and thesis statement. One thing I need to work on is organization and being descriptive in the body paragraphs.
Writing a fair summary is mainly summing up an editorial, etc. without stating your opinion. It will have the title of the editorial or what your writing about and the authors full name both first and last name. In a fair summary you state where the author stands weather they are for or against the topic. A fair summary usually only has 6 sentences at max and 4 sentences at the least without including your thesis statement. Make sure you stay focused on what the body paragraph that you’re writing about in that paragraph. The body paragraphs should also always engage with the editorial or topic along with what your topic is for that specific paragraph. When engaging with the editorial you only have to write the authors last name and put quotation marks around the sentence so the readers know it’s not your words. At the end of the paragraph transitions into the next paragraph. Within the first sentence of each paragraph should have the topic of the paragraph. When your being descriptive it helps to breakdown why you feel the way you do about the topic. It gives the readers more details using your opinions and
