Introduction
A clean and health environment is vital for the ecosystem, as the ecosystem which we live in provides natural amenities for humans and other species which are essential to our health and survival. Pollutions in soil, air and water are harming the environment and causing damage to the ecosystem. Many countries have already started to take control measures for air, soil and water pollution.
These pollutions cause damage to the environment, ecosystem, economy and health like corroding buildings, visible impairment, Irritation of respiratory track, coughing and many more, this occurs when contaminants are introduced to the natural environment which causes damage to the natural conditions of the environment and the ecosystem. In this project we be will talking about the three main kinds of environmental pollution which are; air, water and soil pollution. We will also be talking about the technologies and law being used to control the air, soil and water pollutions and what are peoples view on controlling these pollutions in New York city. …show more content…

The government has set specific standards for all types of pollutants that are emitted from vehicles. All the vehicles are tested according to the standard set by the government to make sure that they do not emit huge amount of hazardous gases. Department of Health & Mental Hygiene in New York City estimated that between 2005 and 2007, high levels of fine PM2.5 (particles) contributed to over 8000 emergency visits for respiratory diseases and over 3000 premature deaths each year. These particles were produced because oil No. 6 was used for heating purposes. This is the heaviest oil and it produces high level of air pollutants. Therefore, Department of Environmental Protection issued a deadline to remove all No. 6 heating oil by June 2015. In July 2012, 955 of the emission rates of sulfur oxides and PM2.5 were
