Immigration is a major problem that the United States of America face today. Immigrants are people, who migrate from a different country to settle in the United States permanently, whether it’s legally or illegally. Many however look at the United States to be the land of the blessed and the land of opportunity. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people migrate to this country for diverse reasons. There will be three reasons debated within this essay as to why immigrants come to the United States.

In America the population is extremely high, and jobs are necessary to prevent poverty. There are always a job fairs and opportunities for work. While in their home country getting a job is a longer process, in America to these immigrants it seems easier to get a job. There are various type of jobs to choose from; the majority of immigrant start working as a Nanny, fast food establishment or retail jobs. This is because with these jobs, you can work while being illegal in the country and still get paid, basically working off the books. When you are an illegal immigrant the pay rate doesn’t matter to you, once it’s enough to maintain your needs and wants and still be able to send money back home for your family. In this case business owners and Families seeking a Nanny tends to take advantage of these specific people in particular. For this reason an illegal immigrant always have a job. While on the other hand for a legal immigrant it is more difficult, they won’t work for nothing less than the minimum wage. While on the other hand an illegal immigrant would. That is the reason why you will find more illegal immigrants working as babysitters and at fat food
