Personally, as a child, one does not really expect anything atrocious had to happen to devise what is today. One determined that they had a stupendous history, which is not true. Many things happened, for example, this one is a crucial one. The fight for civil rights. CIvil rights are meaningful, but there is this community, African Americans, that had to fight for them, which makes this more purposeful because one shouldn’t have to fight for their civil rights. Paragraph 1: (strategies) African Americans fought for their civil rights in many ways. Some were peaceful, some were not. Part of it were marches and protest. They marched with signs and have amassed more people to join what was once not even important to others. It was controversial, but it was something that needed to be done and it was a it was a whole lot of work. They would boycott, which a took a while because it wasn’t like what was being boycotted wasn’t useful. Everyone needed it, well not everyone, but since the fact that a small amount of people were not using it, that company was not making any money. They would also do speeches. Speeches helped. They were harmonious, well thought-out, meaningful. They gave a lot of strength most African Americans didn’t even know that they had. They would do sit-ins. This March was led by none other than Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK), and he is one of the many people African Americans looked up to, while being an activist, he was a peaceful one. One would like to inform that this is also where he announce his “I Have a Dream..” speech. Another declamation was JFK’s. Another strategy that was used was boycotting. An example of that would be the Montgomery bus boycott. Protesting against segregation. People would protest to get the right thing. Brown v. The Board of Education. This one was a major victory for the civil rights
