The American Media portrays Arabs in a negative manner. This affects the image of Arabs and gives them specific stereotypes. Media show Arabs as a threat to the US's economy, security and politically. As a result people believe that Arabs are a threat to peace and a secure life.
But did this stereotype was believed by the majority of the Americans? And what is the image of Arabs in America? A survey was done to know the stereotypical image of Arabs in America and is the serotypes of Arabs are spread among the majority of the American population.
According to the first data, the overall opinion of Arabs is negative (49%) rather than it's positive (36%). While Islam is 41% low opinion and 39% high opinion. If an individual has high opinion of Islam, more likely he would have a high opinion of Arabs

As women would describe Arabs to be barbaric, treacherous and mistreat women. Men would call Arabs "friendly" by 26.8% while women 14%. Women have low opinion might be because of the concerns of women's freedom and liberation in the Arab world.
From Catholics – Protestants point of view, we see that Catholics have a lower overall opinion of Arabs. 52.6% of Catholics would say that Arabs are barbaric and warlike. While 39.9% of Protestants would say that Arabs are barbaric and warlike. Possibly the reason why Catholics have this low opinion of Arabs is because the belief of Islam and Arabs are antichristian.
