My research focuses on children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) because I'm interested in the reason why and how their motor control skills lagged in comparison to children that do not have ASD. Especially, since I am trying to pursue a career in the health industry as an Occupational Therapist, I have always wondered what intervention the best fit for an autistic patient would if they were to come into rehabilitation center that may enhance their motor learning.

It’s due to the fact of their motor impairment and poor social skills; autistic individuals are more likely to be obese because they are restrained from participating in physical activity. A recent study motor impairment has been identified that it's a deficit that should contribute as one of the core symptoms of ASD. At earlier stages of ASD motor problems, to develop that affects both their fine and gross motor skills. Research and studies have examined the significance of comprehension of motor capacities of children with ASD to make a strategy for recognizing at early symptoms of disability. To understand the knowledge and to an obtains the skills to teach autistic patients to learn a skill, it will be able to further to enhance my career of Occupational Therapy. Personally, i will like to learn about autistic individuals is so that I can observe how autistic individuals learn varies way than from typically developing individuals.
