Career in Music

Being a professional recording/touring musician is what I have wanted to do since I was very young. It's my dream career, I can't see myself do anything else. Being an independent musician isn't easy though, there isn't really any colleges for young punk rock musicians to get a masters degree in smashing guitars. There are music colleges out there like the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, but those colleges are meant for the "formal" musicians who want to be the "back up" band for American Idol.

There are many different values to being a successful touring musician, but surprisingly it all depends on you and your personality entirely. These are the values i think creating music gives me:

Career Outlook

I'm 100% sure I want to become a musician and have my own band. I may not have a lot of money at first but I can just work at guitar center, it requires just the knowledge of music and instruments. I do believe this is a smart choice for a career because its the only way ill truly be happy in life. Happiness is more important than a lot of money to me. I would be doing something I love.

Job Skills

1. The field of career being a musician fits in as industry, because it is music production.

2. The Impact technology has created in music is that we have created new recording styles to get better quality music recordings. Such as the invention of Multi track recording.

3. The Technology I would be using is mostly recording equipment and electric instruments.

4. Usually someone else works the recording equipment when in studio but as a musician its good to know how recording equipment.
