Do you listen to music, read books, or watch videos and movies? If so what kind? There are many kinds of music, literature, and films but sometimes these things can have bad language or explicit content. You’re able to listen to a clean version of a song but is that any good. It's still the same song but with all bad words bleeped out. With movies you can watch PG-13 and R rated movies with adults. With books your parents have to approve it before you can read it. Censorship in america or anywhere can be a good thing or a bad thing depends if you agree or disagree with it. For some people its important and it has to be dealt with.

Source #2 states that some radio stations banned a song called Rocky Mountain High from being played. When you listen to songs on the radio they bleep out inappropriate language but you can still original with all the words somewhere else. They bleep out words because people think kids shouldn’t be hearing those kinds of bad words. Some parents might allow their kids to listen to music with explicit content but sometimes only with adult supervision.
I think it is necessary to have to have censorship is because so it can protect kids from any negative things and harmful actions. Censorship may not be the most important issue out there but it is still possibly an issue that still has to be dealt with. It's definitely necessary to talk about this issue because parents want keep there child safe from on the explicit things in the world. Some kids might what a scary movie and get nightmares, kids might listen to a song and watch the music video and try to copy what they do in the video, or kids might read an adult book or a book for older more mature kids and possibly try to copy what the people are doing in the book. There are ways you can protect your child those problems but you can’t protect them from
