Censorship… Yes or No?
Every year, lots of books in the United States of America are banned. According to the dictionary, Censorship is “the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security”. [Have you ever wanted to read a book and discovered that the government thinks that it is so bad for you, they ban it from america?] While this might not happen a lot, this happens to someone every day. Censorship is something we should get rid of for teens and adults!
People deserve their own personal freedoms! They NEED to CHOOSE for themselves, not by the government: people sitting in there offices and drinking coffee all day long deciding what we can and can’t do. Now this may be really exaggerated, but it proves the point that government people/staff can't choose what is best for us as Americans. If we don’t choose for ourselves, we become stuck in that weak position thinking that we don’t matter. This is bad for the reason that people may never trust themselves EVER AGAIN!
