Introduction “ In anymore my coming of age there was no internet, no social networking, nothing. It was just show after show, hoping one day someone would notice .” I’m writing this text to tell you about in the book “ the first part last” Bobby the main character is growing up he has big responsibilities. He has to be a man and not a boy . Body, body, body The basket ball. When it rolls into his parents room it represents him growing up and not going to play ball with his friends like he use to do. It’s like saying no more games. Like when moms say it’s time to come in but instead of come in it’s stay in. its saying take responsibility in your life instead of pushing it aside.On page 22-25 Now chapter, Bobby had left feather alone and went to play basketball. Bobby came home and sat the ball down but it rolled into his parents ( mary & freds) room. Its saying his childhood is over it’s time to grow up. He has to take responsibility. It represents coming of age because its telling him instead of acting like a kid, he’s going to have a kid. In the book Bobby said “if they were all knowing in the beginning then the would be innocent in the end”. I think that is really true and understandable, i bet a lot of people could relate to what he said in the book. In the book Bobby says that “things have to change” i believe that he understands he needs to grow up. Bobby said “things are already changing” he means about him having a baby and having to grow up, maybe a little too soon.
