The Drug Enforcement Administration

The DEA is very important to the safety of United States citizens. They protect us from drug gangs trying to enter the country, they protect our borders from illegal drugs, and so much more. Many people do not know that they are also fighting against terror in the United States. One day I hope to be able to work for the DEA because I believe in their values and I believe in what they do for our country and its citizens. Drugs are such a big problem in our society and something needs to be done about it. The DEA works incredibly hard to keep illegal drugs out of the country and they do not get close to enough credit for what they do. So many DEA agents put their lives on the line to protect the country. Too many have died for doing their job. So many drug gangs enter the country through the Mexico border. We need better border security. That starts with the wall Trump wants to build. Building this wall will help keep out dangerous people tremendously. I am a big supporter of the wall. If a non-citizen wants to be a United States citizen legally that is wonderful. A non-citizen should not be able to come here illegally. It is not fair to the …show more content…

So many people are addicted to drugs and it is mostly because of these drug lords bringing these horrible drugs into the country. I have a family member who has been addicted to drugs on and off for a very long time. He uses methamphetamines regularly. He has destroyed everyone in the family’s relationships. He is not employed; he steals for a living. He has lost his mind because of this drug. He has stolen from his own mother and father. He is a felon so he can’t get a decent job. This is why I want to be a DEA agent. To get rid of these drugs that are destroying families and ruining people’s lives. If it weren’t for drugs I believe he would be a functioning member of society but because of drugs I believe this will never
