The ongoing debate on gun control in America remains a sore topic to some, but an important epidemic to others. With the advancing in school shootings and crime rate in this country, Americans ask the question: Is a stronger gun control something that would help this problem or encourage it? Gun control exhibits the idea that a stronger gun control would demolish a law-abiding citizens’ right, Ignore the fact that Americans have an uncontrollable rage problem, and would benefit criminals.

A law breaker will get his hands on a weapon, no matter how strict the laws. Banning or restricting gun rights will make it harder for law abiding citizens to obtain a firearm. The underground economy, known as the black market, will always impact a portion of gun control. The American Government can believe that their citizens have stricter gun rights, but will never execute the purchase of illegal guns completely. A founding father, Thomas Jefferson agreed "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man” (Nolan).
