Health care is an important resource for all Americans to have. It provides numerous benefits and without it the price for health services is extremely high. In recent years the quality and economic advances of healthcare have started to deteriorate. It is clear that there are several issues with how our nation’s medical services system has been running. However, there have been little to no advances or changes made in this industry to fix these problems. Today, three major issues with health care are affordability, portability, and quality of results. To begin, a large portion of Americans struggle financially. This means that Americans invest a lot of money; however, with all this money, there has not been much advancement in health care. America’s health care costs a tremendous amount more than other countries around the world. The results of health care are not increasing positively like one would assume based on the amount of money that goes towards it (Why the). With the amount of money we put in, it is alarming that throughout the years we have been given little to no good results. In America, the price of new technology, medicines, and medical bills are extremely higher than other areas around the world. Older technology in the United States will still increase in price compared to another country whose price will decrease as the years go by. This shows that we are spending more money on old technology that is not as advances or effective while other countries save this money and produce better results. America has not always been this way. In fact, over the past 37 years, the quality of American health has decreased and continues to decline. As a result, the life expectancy for the United States may be increasing, but it is also increasing at a rate that is much slower than other countries
