Can ideological vegetarians blame the non-vegetarian for slaughtering animals for food?
Everyone in this world has their own preference and rights to choose their food. Some people have interests on particular kinds of food whereas some do not prefer to eat at all. The food culture of a person varies from one to another due to some factors like; the geographical location they live, the culture and the society they belong to, religion they follow and personal likes, dislikes on food in terms of smell, taste and color. Slaughtering animals for food has become a controversial topic since the past few decades; some religious perspectives and personal opinions of people have interfered into food culture, considering that killing animals is too radical and brutal. In my point of view, vegetarians cannot blame the non-vegetarians for killing animals. No major religion in this world has forbidden killing animals for food; they have permitted mankind to consume animal meat for several reasons. To persuade their claim, they argue, stating that, ‘non-vegetarians consume the meat of dead animals, where the vegetarians consume live and fresh plants.’ But, they argue saying that slaughtering animals is brutal and a major sin compared to killing plants which have less sense. There is no logic or ethic in their claim to blame the non-vegetarians for killing animals. In my point view, the person who murders an innocent weak person, who is deaf and blind, should get more punishment than a person who has murdered a normal, strong civilian.
