If you eat a well balanced diet, include the right amount of protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and water you won’t experience vitamin deficiencies. But if you don’t eat the right diet and stay healthy you will experience symptoms which include; bruising, bleeding, aches, pains, skin disorders, and pernicious anemia, I will also talk about the most common nutrients americans are deficient in, how malnutrition affects children more than adults, and what causes nutritional deficiencies. If you feel low on energy during the day, no matter how many hours of sleep you get, you may have a vitamin B-12 deficiency. The reason children are most at risk for malnutrition is because children depend on adults or others because they are too young to take care of themselves for example; children with co-existing chronic illnesses or developmental delay, neglect by caregivers, and poverty. The usual cause of nutritional deficiencies is a poor diet that lacks essential nutrients. The body stores nutrients, so a deficiency is usually caught after it’s been without the nutrient for some time. A number of diseases and conditions including colon cancer and gastrointestinal conditions can lead to an iron deficiency. Pregnancy can also cause a deficiency if the body diverts iron to the fetus. In conclusion, your body needs all these vitamins (and more) to be healthy. If you are lacking in certain vitamins your body will react, trying to tell you that you need to eat the right foods, take vitamins or talk to a doctor. It is very important to have the right amount of all your vitamins, because your body uses these vitamins for bone strength, skin help, brain help, and many more
