We, as Americans, are in a place that is full of two types of people:the rich and the poor. In other words,there is poverty and the wealthy.The world we live in is discriminatory about one’s race, gender, and shockingly, personality. More importantly,poverty is an important factor that shapes these beliefs.I now ask how does this affect the way that people choose to live their lifestyles? How does the mindset of many racist people affect the particular groups of people who are feeling this type of hatred? How does those who aren’t in poverty have a different outlook on life than those who are in poverty.Poverty continues the cycle of racism and put minorities in a situation that creates the view that they are less than human.

According to usnews.newsvine.com, whites make up 63 percent of America, while leaving minorities like blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and other underprivileged at a low percentage of 37. Whites consume more than half of the United States, and already have the power to do as they please because of their skin. This help gives whites an egotistical attitude towards minorities. More effectively, it continues to give privileged a higher and more relevant voice. I’m not saying that all 63 percent of white Americans are racist ,but the ones who are will continue to spread false information on how all underprivileged people act to their kids and so-on. Minorities are being targeted by systemic oppression,institutional racism and other racist acts to keep them down and bring the privileged up. Data shows that unarmed black men in poverty are more likely to die by the gun of a cop than an unarmed white man (Bandler).
