Have you ever found asking yourself or someone this simple question, does this medication actually help me or you? You may find yourself taking too many medications or having more problems than before. Well, in America most doctors misread, falsely prescribe, or prescribe too many medications all at once. Doctors over prescribe, misread, and falsely prescribe medication among America. This results in redundant medications, unnecessary expenses for the patient, and medical issues. On the other hand, drug companies are able to make money off of doctors who prescribe the medications they give to the patient. This is including blood pressure, heart complications, arthritis, head complications, anticoagulants, and sometimes vitamins which they may have to take. This story is to tell you that some medications are taken on top of the medications they are taking. My grandmother was in the hospital for some problems she had, and the doctor gave different directions then what we thought the doctor was going to give. But for me this is depressing because I must see my grandmother go through taking medication that maybe she shouldn’t be taking. To me I feel that some of the medications she is taking she probably could have another type or wouldn’t need it all because all they must do is give instructions on how to relieve the pain instead of prescribing more pain. In the future I feel as if she will be getting more medication and more instructions when she wouldn’t need it. I will also provide another story stating that my sister was taking to the ER for something the doctors couldn’t locate when she had her first child. I was devastated and scared because I didn’t know what was going on or what to do because I wasn’t able to
