Racism is one of the biggest problems across the world. Racism is the belief in which we think one race is superior or inferior to another. It’s when you think a person's personality is predetermined by their inborn biological characteristics. It can also mean that a person is not considered equal to you due to their skin color, language, customs or place of birth. Racism is occurring all around the word, research shows that the five most racist countries are known to be India, Pakistan, Russia, Israel and the United States. Racism in the United States has been around since the Colonial Era started in 1492. People need to be aware of racial discrimination so that we can educate people who aren’t aware, to be more inclusive towards all races.
In this essay, I will be focusing on racism in the United States. In a recent study, which shows that when you most Americans about racism in the United States, the most common thing that comes to mind is slavery; and that is isn’t occurring anymore. But this statement is false racism it still occurring every day. In fact, since Donald Trump won the election the amount of racial discrimination and hate crimes has just increased. But there are many things people can do to individually make a difference such as informing others about why they shouldn’t be racist. We ourselves can make a difference, by just treating everyone equally because in the end we all breath the same air.
